“CHRISTIANS ARE THE MOST PERSECUTED GROUP IN THE WORLD TODAY” – Nina Shea, The Hudson Institute

A new film released this Spring mirrors Newsweek’s current cover story. More than 200 Million Christians worldwide daily face persecution, death and intentional acts of religious cleansing by Islamic, Hindu and Communist groups. Yet, American Christians remain largely unaware.

Churches and religious groups across the United States and in seven foreign countries will be the first to view this new documentary as part of a simulcast event in March. http://www.incastevents.com/lovecostseverything

On the heels of Newsweek magazine’s cover story unveiling “Christophobia” among the global Islamic community, non-profit organization, Christ In Youth (CIY), releases a film about persecution of the Christian church, titled Love Costs Every Thing.  The Newsweek story, sheds light on the truth that Christian are heavily persecuted by the Islamic community, but the world is unaware due to Islamic lobbyists groups keeping the focus on the proposed “Islamophobia” within the United States.

While the full-length, feature documentary digs deep into the reality of persecution by Islamic extremist groups, the film also explores persecution committed by other religious groups, including radical Hindus, and political groups like Colombia’s communist FARC regime.

Love Costs Every Thing maps the history of Christian persecution from the first Christian martyrs to seven present-day stories of faith that knows no price. In the face of persecution, these Christians fear compromise more than death itself.

Filmed in Iraq, Colombia, India, Egypt, France and the United States, this eye-opening documentary includes commentary from United States Congressmen, foreign government officials, religious leaders, scholars and actual persecution survivors. The film, a finalist in two international film festivals, will be released via national simulcast in March.  Guests for the release include New York Times best-selling author, Francis Chan as well as United States Congressman Frank Wolf.  Details for the simulcast are below:

  • Wednesday, March 7, 2012 6pm CST/PST 7pm EST/MST
  • Sunday, March 11, 2012 6pm CST/PST 7pm EST/MST
